United Way Manitowoc County (UWMC) envisions a thriving and resilient county where every person has the opportunity for a good quality of life. In the effort to develop the Agenda for Change to achieve this vision, UWMC has been working to identify the needs in the community. Over the next year, UWMC will continue to listen to the community to better understand where the gaps lie.
United Way Manitowoc County is looking for a wide variety of voices and insight in order to create a true community-wide Agenda for Change. One crucial part of this Agenda for Change includes UWMC’s annual Strategic Community Impact Grants. UWMC aims to invest heavily in issues that the community considers underinvested. UWMC recognizes the need to invest in systems improvement (policies, capacity building, quality, collaboration, etc.) in order to create long-term, systemic change.
The application process for the 2018-2019 Strategic Community Impact Grants is open. Any 5013c or other type of organization are welcome to apply, including but not limited to: nonprofits, churches, schools, government, businesses, and coalitions.
The first step in creating our Agenda for Change is where we truly need partners like you. The Letter of Intent will let us know more about your organization’s mission and work in the community in order to begin designing a community-wide Agenda for Change.
